Melodic punk band Old Cross has officially released their new EP, Acoustic Volume 1, now available on all major streaming platforms and digital retailers.
Hailing from the moody landscapes of the Pacific Northwest, Old Cross draws influence from early-2000s melodic punk icons such as AFI, Alkaline Trio, and The Used. The new EP offers a raw, intimate reimagining of select tracks from the band’s 2024 full-length album, Dead End Lullabies, showcasing the emotional core and songwriting depth behind their signature sound.
Acoustic Volume 1 features stripped-down versions of standout tracks, including acoustic interpretations of songs such as “Dead End Lullabies,” “When the Skeletons Bloom,” “Suddenly,” and “Cross.” By trading distortion and high-energy production for warm acoustic textures, Old Cross reveals a more vulnerable side of their catalog while preserving the melodic hooks and heartfelt lyricism that fans have come to love.
The band previously announced the project following the release of Dead End Lullabies in October 2024, building anticipation among fans eager to hear a different dimension of their sound. Social media posts from the band confirmed the EP’s release with the message: “Acoustic Volume 1 is out everywhere!”
