Death Lens Releases Powerful New Single

Los Angeles alt-punk band Death Lens have released their new single “Power,” marking their first new music since their 2024 album Cold World. The track arrives on the heels of the band’s recent tour with Militarie Gun and is set to appear in the upcoming edition of EA’s Skate video game series.

“Power” showcases the band’s signature melodic punk sound—fast, hook-driven guitars paired with anthemic, optimistic lyrics. According to frontman Bryan Torres, the song represents perseverance during uncertain times.

“I know the world feels out of balance, nothing seems certain, and waiting isn’t an option anymore. We can’t let time dictate our choices or our purpose. The world has never waited for anyone, so we stopped waiting too. That’s POWER. Strength. Resilience. When life feels bleak, we push harder for what we want and the vision we hold for ourselves. A song for anyone who loves it fast, with a message that lifts you up.”

Alongside the single, Death Lens have released a music video directed by Marco Hernandez. The video features professional skaters Tristan Funkhouser, Tyler Pacheco, Zach Allen, Marley Humphrey, and O’Conner Nelson, highlighting the band’s longstanding connection to Southern California skate culture.

Following the political and socially charged themes of Cold World, Death Lens continue to explore topics of burnout, resilience, and community support. The band maintains a commitment to addressing issues connected to their own experiences—growing up in heavily policed neighborhoods, advocating for immigration reform, and uplifting local communities.

Since forming in 2012, Death Lens have built a reputation for high-intensity live shows and melodic punk grounded in personal and social awareness. What began as a garage-punk project has grown into a band using their platform to encourage unity and mutual support. With “Power,” Death Lens add another strong chapter to their catalog—an energetic, uplifting track aimed at closing out a tumultuous year with determination and clarity. More new music is expected as the band continues its evolution.
