REVEREND HORTON HEAT MARK 40TH ANNIVERSARY WITH NEW SINGLE, TOUR & MORE!

As Reverend Horton Heat will mark their 40th anniversary in January 2026 with the release of a new song and video titled “Rock and Roll Is Now,” the band announced this week, along with a list of East Coast tour dates.

The track “Rock and Roll Is Now,” long a fixture of the group’s live performances, has receive its first official release as part of the anniversary celebration. The song takes its refrain from a familiar line sung onstage for years — “They’re too old but we’re young now, rock and roll is now” — and is accompanied by artwork from longtime collaborator Vince Ray, whose illustrations have appeared on the band’s merchandise for decades.

The anniversary release coincides with an active touring schedule for early 2026. Reverend Horton Heat will begin a run through the Southeast and Midwest on January 30, opening in New Orleans. Additional dates for that leg are expected to be announced.
