Singer-songwriter Rudy Nuño has announced plans for a new full-length album, Heart Hope Perspective, releasing his newest single, ‘Better Days’ featuring Fumie Records label mates, The Jack Knives. Rudy Nuno has also revealed an unexpected collaboration with Aimee Interrupter on an upcoming single, marking a notable turn in his current recording work.
The album, a ten-song collection written entirely by Nuño and produced by Kevin Bivona of The Interrupters, is scheduled for a staggered release in 2026. The rollout will follow a vinyl-first strategy aimed at collectors, with pre-orders opening January 23 through the artist’s official website. A digital release across major platforms is set for April 15.
“Better Days,” the newest single from the album cycle, features Los Angeles band The Jack Knives and continues Nuño’s practice of collaborating within the city’s punk and roots-informed music community.
While recent releases have leaned into urgency and volume, Nuño’s current run of singles reflects a broader emotional range. “Better Days” aligns with the album’s central themes of perseverance and reflection, pairing Nuño’s songwriting with the communal energy of his collaborators.
Nuño also confirmed that the album’s next single, “Brave,” features vocals by Aimee Interrupter. The collaboration arose informally during a studio session, when Interrupter encountered the track while Bivona was working on it and expressed an immediate connection. Nuño later invited her to participate, resulting in what those involved describe as a shared performance rather than a conventional guest appearance. The single is slated for release February 13.
Musically, the song represents a departure from the louder, guitar-driven material of Nuño’s recent releases. Instead, it adopts a restrained, folk-leaning approach, emphasizing reflection and emotional clarity. Interrupter’s contribution adds warmth and weight to the recording, underscoring themes of resilience and hope.

The forthcoming album will be issued on Fumie Records and will debut physically as a limited-edition royal blue 12-inch vinyl before becoming available digitally. It is the third of four planned single releases leading up to the album’s arrival. You will be able to start pre ordering your vinyl at RudyNuno.com as well as FumieRecords.com on January 23rd
Nuño, a Los Angeles-based artist, is known for blending punk, rock, and soul influences with working-class narratives, drawing comparisons to heartland songwriting filtered through a punk sensibility. With Heart, Hope, Perspective, he continues that approach, offering a measured and deliberate body of work amid a crowded release calendar.
In announcing the project, Nuño made no effort to court spectacle. Instead, the emphasis remains on intention and craft, as the artist prepares to release what early observers suggest may stand among the year’s most grounded independent records.
